The Shopping Assistant Bot helps enhance the shopping experience by recommending relevant products based on customer inquiries.
To use the bot, a Shopify or WooCommerce store must be connected to your brand(s). When enabled, the bot uses your store’s product catalog to offer personalized product suggestions, helping customers discover products more quickly.
Note: If your brand has Re:amaze AI Agent enabled, the Shopping Assistant Bot option will not appear, since product recommendations can be handled through AI Agent. If you’re looking to use Re:amaze’s latest AI capabilities, AI Agent offers a more advanced and flexible experience. However, Shopping Assistant Bot remains a great option for brands using this standalone product recommendation workflow.
Enabling the Shopping Assistant Bot
- Navigate to Settings > Chatbots.
- Select Manage Bots for the brand you want to enable the Shopper Bot for (if you manage multiple brands).
- Select the checkbox for Shopping Assistant Bot
Enable the Shopping Assistant Hub
After activating your Shopping Assistant Bot, you can also enable the Shopping Assistant Hub in your chat widget. This feature adds a search field to your widget, allowing customers to search for products. The Shopping Assistant Hub works like a customer-initiated message but routes the interaction directly to the bot.
To enable the Shopping Assistant Hub:
- Navigate to Settings > Chat Widgets.
- Select Edit for the brand you want to enable Shopping Assistant Hub for.
- Skip through the customization pages by selecting Next until you reach the last page.
- Select the checkbox for Enabled?
Tips for Better Bot Performance
- Unpublish Outdated Products: Remove any products that you no longer offer. The bot will recommend all products that are currently published in your catalog.
- Maintain Clear Product Descriptions: Make sure your product titles and descriptions are detailed and up-to-date. The bot uses this information to match customer inquiries with suitable products.
