Set Up Push Campaigns for BigCommerce

Install the service worker

For Push Campaigns to reach your subscribers, you will need to install a snippet of code on your store. This installs the Re:amaze service worker, which loads in your customer's browser when they subscribe for push notifications. When you send a Push Campaign, Re:amaze communicates with this service worker to display the notification on the subscriber's device.

Create a new file on your computer named rmzServiceWorker.js and paste the following code into it:

You will upload this file to your BigCommerce store in the steps below. To get started, log into your BigCommerce store and navigate to Server Settings > File Access (WebDAV).

Use the details from the previous step to sign into your WebDAV client. The examples below use CyberDuck, a free cloud storage browser.

Open the content folder.

Upload the rmzServiceWorker.js file you created earlier.

Once uploaded, the service worker will be accessible on your store's domain. For example, if your domain is https://example.com , the file will be loaded at https://example.com/content/rmzServiceWorker.js .
