Re:amaze does not currently offer a full eBay integration due to eBay's limited API access. However, you can still manage eBay conversations through Re:amaze by setting up email forwarding and custom SMTP.
Set up email forwarding
Confirm that the email address associated with your eBay seller account is set up to forward messages to Re:amaze. Within Re:amaze, create a dedicated channel for handling eBay messages. If you are not familiar with setting up email forwarding, refer to the articles below for your email provider:
Set up custom SMTP
Custom SMTP ensures eBay can authenticate that the same person is sending and receiving messages. We have an article on this here.
If you are using Gmail or Google Apps, you will need to allow less secure apps to access your account.
- Sign into your Google Admin Console.
- Navigate to Security > Access and Data Control > Less Secure Apps.
- Enable access for less secure apps.

In Re:amaze, navigate to Settings > Email Channels and select the channel you want to use with eBay. Scroll to the bottom of the page, enable Custom SMTP, and fill out the required fields.
- Hostname: smtp.gmail.com
- Port: 587
- Mail Domain: gmail.com
For other email providers, search for the correct SMTP settings for your provider.
Once your setup is complete, incoming eBay messages will appear in Re:amaze. Keep in mind that message subjects will include a reference ID due to eBay's standardization for messages handled by third parties.
Select a conversation to open it and use the View Original Email option to read the full message. You can then reply to the customer directly from Re:amaze without logging into your eBay account.
